MY JOURNEY
I was born in Australia to a British father and Seychellois mother but moved to Palma de Mallorca, Spain when I was only one years old. It is largely thanks to my nomadic background and mixed heritage that I have a profound love for culture, diversity and the arts.
From a very young age it was evident that I was a natural born storyteller. My parents would often find me hiding in the attic with pen and paper devising my next grand theatre play. Once happy with my masterpiece my brother and family friends would be fortunate enough to be cast in my production at the next social gathering my parents planned.
I took this innate ability to develop characters and tell stories into my adult life by doing a BA honours degree in film directing and scriptwriting at the Met Film School in Berlin. After the course, aside from developing my own projects, I worked on various film sets in the assistant director department for TV series’ such as The Mallorca Files. This is where I was truly able to connect with the magic of filmmaking. It was during this time that I was fortunate enough to work alongside some of the worlds most talented actors and film directors.
I then took a hiatus from the industry in order to train as an actress at the Oxford of Drama where I was accepted on a full scholarship.
At Oxford I was able to develop my own skills as a performer as well as personally experience what it takes to be an amazing actor and develop techniques from practitioners such as Stanislavsky, Laban, Uta Hagen and Susan Batson.
After graduating, armed with this invaluable knowledge and experience, I worked in the industry as an actor starring in various theatre plays and independent films.
I have gone on to direct my own films which have received various accolades at film festivals across the globe. With many projects currently in development I am constantly on the lookout for emerging talent and fellow creatives.
I absolutely love working with actors and helping them reach compelling, truthful performances which is why I decided to create this space. It is through this offering that I wish to guide and support you on your journey into the magical world of storytelling.
